Kenny Ikeji, a junior at Harvard representing Great Britain, won the men's weight throw title with a second-round performance of 79-9.50 (24.32m) at the NCAA Division 1 Indoor Championships at the TRACK at New Balance in Boston, Mass. Ikeji surpassed his own facility record, in addition to becoming the first male athlete from Harvard to secure a weight throw championship since Charles Ajootian and Ed Wosal won back-to-back crowns in 1969-70. Ikeji is the first men's competitor since Norwegian athlete and Florida standout Thomas Mardal in 2021 to win both Division 1 indoor weight throw and outdoor hammer throw titles. Ikeji triumphed in the hammer throw in June with a sixth-round mark of 255-8 (77.92m) in Austin, Texas.
